Logan Had a Birthday!!
Logan has turned 11! He had two parties (as we do a lot around here..) . On his actual day, we had grandparents and family over for cake and ice cream.
Yesterday, we had some friends over for games, pizza and cake. There was a ton of fun to be had! Here are some photos: (And props to Melinda for suggesting Lawn Twister and Lawn/Soccer Bowling. FUN!)

Logan is ELEVEN.
Jorgen and Logan with Caigen, Paxdyn and Corbin, our neighbors.
Grandpa and Grandma Jorgensen
Aunt Candice and Princess Leah
Logan with Jorg and Brandt, opening gifts.
Second Birthday Cake. Logan made it, I frosted.
Party food. (The M&Ms didn't even make it to the start of the party without the locusts attacking!)
Pantry Door Chalkboard Greeting
My Jacked-Up Twister Mat! But it worked!
TWISTER!!
Also notice that there is one or two Golden Retrievers playing Twister as well. They couldn't help themselves!
BTW, there is an app for the Twister Spinner. Just in case you need one in the future.
Soccer bowling with 2L bottles filled with water.
Liesel had the boys play a game that involved dice, oven mitts, and wrapped candy bars. Whatever was involved, they had fun and there was a lot of yelling.
Logan and his British friend, William. (He informed us that he is indeed, descended from William the First. ;) )
Noah is attempting to scare the socks off of Logan.
New AirSoft Gun!! YAAAAAY!!
Okay, now for some funny hightlights:
- Logan didn't actually send out invitations. He sort of told me the night before the party that he had invited EIGHT boys over to the house. He used a dodgy scrap of paper with our address on it. So who was going to come??? Thank heaven, William's dad came by to check it out.
- So, we had one guest!! That's okay. We have five kids. I made Mitchell go and pick up his friends. There was pizza, cake and treats. What is not to love?
- Melinda, my sis, gave the ideas for Soccer bowling and Lawn Twister: Both HITS!
- I bought several squirt guns at the dollar store. Another big hit!
- The teenagers had as much fun, or more than Logan and William
- William's dad, Bill, came to pick him up at the end of the party. They just came here from England a few months ago. Logan opened up his AirSoft gun and Bill's mouth dropped open. Mitchell quickly told him that it was an Airsoft gun, not an assault rifle. We all laughed pretty hard!!
Thrown together at the last minute, this was probably the most fun we have had at a party!!
